The third ARTES Applications Final Presentation Day will take place in the ECSAT (Harwell Campus, UK) facilities next 17 November 2016. A group of concluded ARTES Applications activities will present their results to an interested audience, covering the thematic areas of Health, Maritime & Offshore, Transport & Logistics as well as Environmental Resource Management.
ESA's Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES) programme transforms research and development activities into operational, profitable and self-sustaining products and services. The ARTES Applications programmes are dedicated to funding and promoting the development of space-based applications, services and solutions for the needs of European citizens and society at large.
Planetek Italia is the prime contractor of the ICWM for MED project, which will be presented during the conference.
ICWM for MED is a project funded by the European Space Agency within the Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) ARTES 20 programme (Advanced Research in Telecommunication Systems). The ARTES IAP programme is dedicated to the development, implementation and pilot operations of Integrated Applications, that combine (or 'integrate') data from at least two existing and different space assets, such as Satellite Communication, Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Human Spaceflight technologies and others.
Attendance at the conference is free, but you must register in advance and receive a confirmation.
