Development and implementation of applications for the validation of cybersecurity in transportation and remote or autonomous driving platforms.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is defined as a powered aerial vehicle that does not carry a human operator and can fly autonomously or be piloted remotely. These aerial vehicles are increasingly used in many applications due to their rapid and economical deployment.

However, drone UAV missions introduce elements of risk into air traffic, the territory flown over and the management of data collected by sensors. To guarantee the cyber security of drones, it is essential to ensure the safety of flight operations and surrounding air traffic, the safety of the areas flown over (infrastructures, urban areas, people), and to guarantee the availability, integrity and confidentiality of data collected by the sensors during the mission and, therefore, the safety of the interventions determined by the data themselves (think of the case of emergency management missions).

Planetek is involved in several projects financed by the European Space Agency (ESA), and carried out in collaboration with leading players in the Italian aerospace sector such as the Puglia Aerospace Technological District (DTA), Leonardo, Aeroporti di Puglia, ENAV, Telespazio.
