From 23 to 25 September, Planetek Italia and D-Orbit will take part in BEX – Beyond Exploration Expo, the new international event dedicated to the Space Economy and to connecting the space industry with terrestrial sectors, taking place at the Rimini Expo Centre.

The event combines B2B activities with outreach initiatives and training sessions, opening its doors to universities, researchers and future professionals. Its aim is to foster dialogue between the traditional space value chain, emerging industries and the wider innovation ecosystem, encouraging cross-fertilisation between seemingly distant sectors – from food and fashion to healthcare, logistics, automotive and energy.

As Industrial Partners of BEX, Planetek Italia and D-Orbit will bring the “Future EO Arena” to life: an open space for networking, knowledge sharing and training, designed to showcase Space Economy technologies and opportunities to anyone interested in exploring their potential – from space professionals and people looking to start a career in the sector to Italian public administration professionals and organisations operating in non-space industries such as energy, utilities and engineering.

Throughout the three-day event, the Future EO Arena will host a free programme of courses and workshops dedicated to Earth Observation and the emerging frontiers of space technology.

Sessions will explore how to use satellite imagery and data, the applications of Earth Observation in engineering, energy and utilities, infrastructure, Smart Cities, climate change and urban green space management, as well as the innovations that are transforming the space sector – from In-Orbit Servicing and Space Edge Computing to AI-eXpress and the services enabled by the Italian IRIDE satellite constellation.

A dedicated Skills & Careers in the Space Sector session will explore the skills sought by the industry and the career opportunities available in this rapidly evolving sector. In particular, on Wednesday 23 September, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the HR & People teams from Planetek Italia and D-Orbit at Stand C1/011. They will be available to answer questions from candidates and students interested in career and collaboration opportunities with the two companies.
