Conference "IoT in the vineyards and cellars: cheaper and more environmental friendly". Verona, Italy. Tuesday, 17 April 2018.
The conference "IoT in the vineyards and cellars: cheaper and more environmental friendly", promoted and organized by the Informatore Agrario, takes place in Verona, Italy, next Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in the context of Vinitaly event.
Technological innovation is making big steps forward and if in the recent past innovation aimed above all at the mechanization of agriculture, to reduce costs, today the objective is more often that of environmental sustainability. Innovation today aims to reduce costs but taking care of environmental sustainability. In the vineyard, the Internet of Things refers to sensors that measure ambient temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, soil temperature, humidity on the leaves, intensity of sunlight, etc. The actions taken on the basis of these data constitute the so-called precision farming. (ref. Slawska G. Scarso et al.)
Planetek Italia participates in this event to present the Case History "The example of Bordeaux and Burgundy", an example of the use of satellite technologies to support precision farming, developed in the framework of the H2020 project EUGENIUS.
