World Water Day 2023

World Water Day 2023

Water is a fundamental part of all aspects of life.

The World Water Day 2023 invites everyone to help solve the water crisis.

Back in 2015, the world committed to Sustainable Development Goal 6 as part of the UN 2030 Agenda – the promise that everyone would have safely managed water and sanitation by 2030.
Right now, we are seriously off-track. On March22-24, national governments and stakeholders from all levels will join the UN 2023 Water Conference to commit to action. The conference will launch the Water Action Agenda, which will include commitments from people around the world.

How can we play our part?
Water affects us all, we need everyone to take action. You and your family, school and community can make a difference by changing the way you use, consume and manage water in your lives.
Let's help solve the problem, one drop at a time. Take a look at some simple Water Actions you can do to help. The Lazy Person’s Guide to Saving Water

What we do as Planetek.

  • ACTIVISM: Everyone in Planetek is strongly invited to take action, and we are monitoring our efforts and results both as individuals, and as a company. Take a look at our Sustainability Report.
  • PROJECTS: For about 30 years, we have been processing Earth observation data to help monitor and preserve water and its uses. The aim is to help local governments, utility companies and all water users in the sustainable management of water resources and water infrastructures. From desalination plants, to water and wastewater networks, agriculture, rivers, dams, and coastal waters.
  • SOLUTIONS: We are more and more adapting our satellite-based solutions to monitor the environment and measure ESG and SDG metrics. Take a look at our satellite-based service Rheticus which is currently helping several water utilities worldwide in safeguarding water and wastewater networks efficiency and integrity.
  • EDUCATION/TRAINING COURSES: Do you want to learn more about Earth Observation? You can have a look at our list of webinars or enrol to our free online courses

We have the common goal to meet (#SDG) Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
Do what you can. Thank you.
