The Puglia Aerospace Cluster (DTA) and the Greek Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-cluster) are jointly organising the 2nd workshop "Interregional Cooperation in Space" that will take place in Bari next 22-23 September 2015.
This event will bring together representatives from regions, space agencies, space industries, Nereus, academia, research institutions and universities, to discuss how they can benefit from their own, content, technology and expertise to develop new space projects for the benefits of regions, territories, companies and citizens.
The cooperation among clusters and regions is fundamental to reinforce the systematic utilisation of data and space technologies in Europe. In 2014, the Puglia Aerospace Cluster (DTA) signed a cooperation agreement with the si-Cluster. This confirms that, both Regions, Puglia and Attica, consider space, a pillar of its 3S strategy, and they believe in the importance to invest regional resources in space, an engine for innovation and growth.
Following the 1st workshop that took place last April in Athens, this 2nd workshop, that includes one political and one technical session, will give regions, regional stakeholder, policy makers and cluster representatives a platform to share their views, exchange best practices and discuss more in detail the possible areas of cooperation, at regional, national and international level. At European level, Nereus, the Network of European regions using space technologies, led by Puglia, represents a unique platform to share expertise and reinforce interregional cooperation.
The event includes the exhibition “Apulia Space – La Puglia nello Spazio” with information panels and photos of:
