Planetek will join the global Space community in the iconic scenario of EXPO 2020 DUBAI (01 October 2021 - 31 March 2022).

Space events are: Apulia Region's A journey into beauty and innovation: from Apulia to Space (18th October), the “Space Week” (17th to 23rd October 2021), the IAC - International Astronautical Congress (25th to 29th October 2021).

In recent years, Apulia has emerged as one of the leading Italian regions in the space sector. Taking into consideration the broader aerospace sector, Apulia is home to an industrial eco-system, consisting of 550 active companies, occupying 7.900 employees, and operating in the aerospace supply chain, in various fields of R&D and manufacturing, from the design and production of aircraft component and engines to space software, micro-satellites and E.O. solutions. The international forum presents the strategic role of Apulia in advancing autonomous access to space for Italy and the whole of Europe, starting out from the Grottaglie spaceport, as well as exploring the new frontiers of space transportation, with a focus on the potential of Space Rider missions, and promoting regional strategies in favour of attracting investments to further the creation of an aerospace hub at Grottaglie. Planetek Italia, as a member of the Apulian Aerospace District is involved in innovative Earth Observation and New Space missions like the Grottaglie Space-port, the RPASinAir and CRUISE projects, the Striving in-orbit validation service, and Spacedge satellite-as-a-service ecosystem.

World Space Week

From 17th to 23rd October 2021

Being held in association with the UAE Space Agency and Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), the event will run from October 17 to 23. An entire week dedicated to space technologies with conferences and showcases focusing on the exploration of the universe and on Earth observation.

Planetek will be present at the Italian Pavilion to showcase Italian and Apulian expertise in Space and EO.

IAC - International Astronautical Congress

The IAC 2021 is organized in association with the UAE Space Agency and Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). The world’s premier space event is hosted for the first time in the middle-east and is a unique opportunity to meet high-level stakeholders from space agencies and institutions around the world that come together under one roof to exchange information and ideas, to share developments and advances, to swap insights, strategies and rising trends.
