The DEAFIN project (Development Agencies and their Impact Foreign on Investment direct), co-financed by the European Union in the framework of the ReciteII community programs, comes from the need to provide information and attract investments in three partner regions: the Province of Milan, the County of Vasternorrland and the Land of Bremen; all the areas are characterized by a series of small and medium enterprises and by the presence of abandoned or underexploited industrial areas.The DEAFIN project has been undertaken by a development team constituted by Telematic Solutions s.p.a., Planetek Italia and X-Gate Logistik Projekte GmbH, for the creation of a cognitive and informative tool and DEAFIN Web GIS. The tool, available at the address www.deafin.org, is connected to digital maps available via Internet, in order to provide potential investors, development agencies, multinational or medium-small companies with all the useful elements to choose productive installation. ---
