The satellite that looks deep inside the seaThe coastal area monitoring with Earth Observation tecniques can be accurately supported thanks to one of WorldView-2 satellite multispectral band. The Coastal Band, with wavelenght between 400 and 450 nm, makes possible, in fact, punctual analysis on coastal areas and on bathimetry.

Sardinia’s flood monitoring service integrates Radar imagesSAR radar images are a fundmental source to support emergency response activities to detect flooded areas even in case of cloudy weather. The department 'Difesa del Suolo' of Regione Sardegna, Italy, has started a project for monitoring of main river basins all over the region that includes the use of radar and optical Earth Observation data .
