    Chlorophyll maps over Tirreno and Adriatic seas

    The project called MARCOAST (Marine and Coastal Environment Information Services), realized in the framework of GMES Service Elements programme of ESA, the European Space Agency, has extended the monitoring area over Tirreno Sea. Among the supplied products an important innovation is the Chlorophyll map with its 300m resolution data, instead of those provided at a european level of 1Km resolution. This new product is suitable for near shore monitoring needs. Next goals are a further extention of the geographic area and a product improvement to better answer the coast line monitoring.

Planetek Italia organizes the workshop “Catasto Day - L’Architetto, il Catasto e gli strumenti GIS”, to make the point on new opportunities and duties for professionals of public and private organization.     Case Study in Liguria Region with ER Mapper

    Workshop “La Città a 1 Metro” in Bologna

    The free travelling course "La città a 1 metro" goes on all over Italy. Next event will focus on using Ikonos high resolution satellite images with ER Mapper and how to extract their great information content. Next meeting will be held the 30th of May in Bologna with the partnership of ENEA, the italian research centre for energy and environment.

    Image Web Server version 8.1 has been released and is available for download.

    New features in Image Web Server 8.1 are:

    - Web 2.0 GIS overlay support

    - Server side component that makes requests to GIS server and "knocks-out" colors in the returned image to provide transparency for GIS requests.

    - ArcXML configuration extensions

    - Re-projection on-the-fly

    - Grouping of layers
