Happy Birthday Planetek Italia!Bari - January 14th, 2005. A cake with eleven candles to celebrate Planetek Italia. Every year it is a moment to thank everybody in the staff and all the people who have contributed in the past to the growth of the company.
Last year we have celebrated Ten Years of activity with our
friends, partners and customers. It begun also a path that lead us through a process of graphic restyling and small innovations aiming our continuous improvement and
with the auspice to always supplying with a contribution of high value to the
solutions for the territory management. -
Puglia`s contribution to Titan space missionThe greatest Saturn moon lives, and seems to be similar to the Earth. After seven years of travel on board of Cassini probe, the Huygens probe has transmitted the first images of Titan and causing surprise to ESA`s research staff. This important interplanetary campain, comes from successful cooperaration between NASA, Esa and Asi, and is one of the most complex never realized before. Cassini Mission includes also a Research Group staff of the Department Interateneo di Fisica "M.Merlin" of
both Politecnico and Universita` of Bari Institutes. Its Scientific Responsible,

Thirty satellites for Earth monitoring within 2012Last November 24th
have been held the first "Space Council ", in which 27 between European ministers and ESA representatives have discussed about future space politics in Europe. Some big
programs have been already started, as the GMES Program (Global Monitoring for
Enviroment and Security), that will give independence to Europe in two crucial
fields: safety care and environment monitoring. The GMES satellite network will offer its precious support to better understand big natural events. -
World Conference on Disaster ReductionFrom the 18 to 22 January 2005 in Kobe, Japan will take place the World Conference on
Disasters Reduction. Two thousand delegates of UN Countries will discuss for five days on plans, actions and efforts to prevent and minimize the damages of natural disasters. The creation of a World-wide civil protection Agency will be a discussion matter. -
GIS and Remote Sensing Course Agenda in Southern ItalySicily and Calabria are discovering more and more the ICT applied to the
territory management. The literature, the concrete experiences and the results
obtained in last few years have earned the confidence of the operators, who are
increasing their demand of instruments and know how. Two small local companies, MICE
Sas and GeoMultiservice Srl, will give such kind of need a prompt answer by offering
a brand new professional course. The training Agenda start in January with GIS and
