    A new WEBGIS for the Province of Rome

    Rome, the WebGIS system for the Province is on-line. The system enables a number of viewing and editing functionalities, that make it an example of a GIS on the web. A real multiplatform application based on Java and ASP technology. Geographic and alphanumeric data have been archived in Oracle Spatial database, while raster are served by Image Web server. The system has been developed by Planetek Italia based on the DbMap ASJ module of Abaco.
