Territory - Space - Information: 10 years of Planetek ItaliaPlanetek Italia completes in 2004 Ten Years of activity. In order to celebrate this important goal and make an analysis of future scenes of the sector, next 5th October the company organizes a Convention in Bari titled "Space: Territory new frontiers. Information, Space, Territory in the ten years of Planetek Italia". The Convention will be held at Sala Enel- Fiera del Levante. In the same day Planetek Italia opens the Company doors to visitors, with an "Open Day" trying to introduce its facilities, its job modalities, its main projects and, mainly, the strength of the company, its people. "La città a 1 metro" next appointments in Palermo and Treviso.
The free travelling course "La città a 1 metro" goes on all over Italy. Helded in Venice, Florence, Bari and Cosenza the first appointments showed at our crowded classrooms how to use Ikonos high resolution satellite images with ER Mapper and how to extract their great information content. Next meetings will be held the 14th of september in Palermo, and the 24th in Treviso.

GMES Urban Services: urban applied remote sensing tools in Treviso"GMES - Global Monitoring Environment Security" is a joint initiative of European Commission and ESA to implement a European environmental monitoring capacity. Planetek Italia works particularly in generating products and services based on satellite imagery.
The 24th of september Planetek Italia and Provincia of Treviso will show the case study and the first results of the project. -
The SLAM Project show at IGARSS 2004.The SLAM Project, has been promoted by ESA to generate products for Landslides Management. Planetek Italia is a participant of the working group. The SLAM Project will be shown during next edition of IGARSS to be held on september 20th-24th, 2004. IGARSS is the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. It has become a prestigious meeting focusing on remote sensing programs, applications and activities.

Planetek Italia Autumn course calendar
Planetek Italia Autumn course calendar is particularly rich and introduces a wide formative offered. All the course will be held in Rome.
- Course ER Mapper, to be held 14th October, provides a detailed view of the functions of this product for the elaboration of satellite images and orthophotos;
- The consolidated experience of Planetek Italia in the publication of WebGIS cartography and data archives is available to all the customers interested in the first edition of the WebGIS Course, to be held from 4th November.
- 9th edition of "GIS & Remote Sensing". New appointment in Rome to be held by the end of November. This Course represents "the highest experience to catch" in the learning system labelled Planetek Italia.
