  GIS & Remote Sensing Course: IX edition in Bari

  A few places are still available for the IX edition of the course of GIS&

  Telerilevamento, organized by Planetek Italia in Bari, from the 14th to the 18th

  June. The course (35 hours) will provide theoretical and practical skills in the

  area of integration of remote sensing with the Geographic Information Systems and

  the use of WebGIS System.

  News from the Space: WorldView and SPOT 5

  WorldView is the next-generation imaging satellite from DigitalGlobe. With a

  half-meter panchromatic resolution and 2.0 meter multispectral resolution, WorldView

  will fly at about 500 miles: the higher orbit means that WorldView will be able

  reshoot the same place once a day. SPOT Image has announced the availability of new

  2.5 meters color images, collected by SPOT 5 satellite.

  WebSite of the Italian Ministry of the Environment. Have a look to your house on

  color orthophotos and discover if it is included in a risk area or not. The

  application has been realized by Planetek Italia by integrating the vector layers

  served by ArcIMS with the ECW orthophotos served by Image Web Server.
