Merry Christmas 2005Dear friends,
For Planetek Italia it has become a tradition. The Holy Christmas means to us also finding a special way to feel us nearer to the others and to give a concrete hand to people who are not as lucky as we are. This year again we have decided to devolve to people in need the amount of money that we were supposed to spend for mailing traditional wishing cards.
This time, to combine the possibility of helping people in need to the pleasure of a more sincere wish of Happy Christmas and good beginning of New Year, we have chosen the Diocesi of Rumbek, one of the African Missions of the Comboniani Fathers. Since years, the Diocesi of Rumbek has been bringing help in villages of the Sudan South devastated from the civil war. The human promotion, the scholastic education, the emancipation of women and the services to the health, are only some of the objectives of the Mission.
We are sure you will agree our initiative, and we wish you all the best.

Europe reaches the MoonESA`s SMART-1 is successfully making its first orbit of the Moon, a significant milestone for the first of Europe`s Small Missions for Advanced Research in Technology (SMART) spacecraft.
A complex package of tests on new technologies was successfully performed during the cruise to the Moon, while the spacecraft was getting ready for the scientific investigations which will come next. "La citta` a 1 metro" next appointment in Cagliari.The free travelling course "La citta` a 1 metro" goes on all over Italy.
Helded in Milano last 20th of october this event showed at our crowded classrooms how to use Ikonos high resolution satellite images with ER Mapper and how to extract their great information content.
Next meeting will be held the 2nd of december in Cagliari with the partnership of Corpo Forestale of Regione Sardegna and SIGEA srl. In the same month Planetek Italia is planning to realize the Rome event. -
Torino Infomobility 2004Torino Infomobility 2004, is a telematic & infomobility Forum helded last month of november. This event is divided in a number of macroareas concerning vertical sectors as Logistic, Rescue & Public safety, GIS and Sport telemetry.
In two days it is possible to visit the exposition area, to take part at the "Brokerage Event", a place where operators may know each other and may share ideas and plans for the future. Notable is also the first day conference "Telematic Trends" focused this year on european Galileo Program together with other plans, projects and efforts towards a european capacity to uild systems and tools to satisfy european information and safety needs.
