The Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Athens, Greece was taken by Space Imaging`s IKONOS satellite on 18/08/2004. The image includes the Olympic Stadium (host of the opening and closing ceremonies) and the football gold medal match, the Olympic Aquatic Center, Olympic Indoor Hall (gymnastics and basketball finals), Olympic Tennis Center, and the Olympic Velodrome (cycling).

The Panathinaiko Olympic Sports Complex (also known as Kallimarmaro) in Athens, Greece was taken by Space Imaging`s IKONOS satellite on August 18, 2004. The Panathinaiko venue was where the first modern Olympic games were held in 1896. The venue has a maximum seating capacity of 34,500 and has host the Marathon finish and archery events.
