Tsunami in Indonesia
This image was taken by Space Imaging`s IKONOS satellite over Lhoknga, Sumatra. PRE: 10 gen 2003 POST: 29 dic 2004. The image shows the western coast of Sumatra, Indonesia and Lhoknga, a village near the capital city of Banda Aceh, in the Aceh province. A white-colored mosque is in the center of the town.

Bam, Iran
Space Imaging`s IKONOS satellite shot this resampled 1-meter resolution image of the city of Bam, Iran (29° 06`N, 58° 21` E) December 27, 2003. The image shows the widespread damage as the citadel and entire residential areas were damaged or destroyed during the earthquake.
Greek fires
This Envisat image taken on 30 August 2007 captures the devastation to Greece`s landscape after blazes burned out of control for a week, killing more than 60 people. Burned areas are visible as dark brown.
